There is no admission charge, however donations to The Beach Cares are very much encouraged. The Beach Cares is a coalition of St. Aidan’s, Beach United and the Beach Community that came together in August 2015 to sponsor refugees fleeing from the war in Syria.

The need for refugee sponsors to settle LGBTQIA+ newcomers is great. Join us to acquire a better understanding of how to support these newcomers live the life of their own choosing. Hear from three presenters who will provide a context, address unique challenges in settlement along with resources and agencies who can help.

This event is for private refugee sponsors. Discussions will explore building self-esteem, acquiring new skills, connection and inclusion, and how they all lead to effective settlement. Join us to learn how to better understand the importance of youth engagement when we hear from an expert who lives this topic every day.
