Sheila Brand, a member of our choir, is leading our new Children’s Choir! Sheila is a former music teacher using the Orff Approach, for vocal, ukulele and drama/dance programs at Williamson Road Public School. Children ages 7-12 are welcome, and free to anyone to join! Open invitation to join us in preparation for two performances of the DREAM A DREAM cantata by Shirley Erena Murray (Lyrics) and Ron Klusmeier (music). We would love this to be a large regional ecumenical effort, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Foodgrain Bank. If we can do this encore effort as successfully or better than we did in 2019, Mr. Klusmeier has suggested that they might license it once again next year as a national CFGB fundraiser. Let's do it! A fundraising and awareness event to support an end to global hunger. There are no tickets for this event, but attendees will be asked to make a generous donation to support ending global hunger. Canadian Foodgrains Bank receives 100% of donations received and issues tax receipts for donations of $10 or more. Sunday, Nov. 19th — 7pm There will be an opportunity to learn more about how Canadians can continue supporting the compassionate mission of feeding the hungry.
The famous Tuskegee Choir is steeped in more than a century of pride and the richest of choral traditions. Since its inception, the Golden Voices Concert Choir has served as an artistic model while carving its place in American history. The 25 voice choir will perform in four Ontario cities – London, Toronto, Kingston and Ottawa – in March 2023. For lovers of contemporary and traditional Afro-American Gospel music.
