Minister’s Day Together
Culture Play: From the “Soccer Field Model” to “Fiesta”
A Day Together for All Shining Waters Ministers
Wednesday, November 6, 2024
9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (lunch provided)
At Jubilee United Church, 40 Underhill Dr, Toronto (MAP)
Culture Play: From the “Soccer Field Model” to “Fiesta”
Ha Na Park and Min-Goo Kang from the west coast invite you to an interactive gathering dedicated to culture play. What makes a spiritually strong culture? Becoming an intercultural church is a strong culture and key to flourishing. Using two metaphors – from the “Soccer Field Model” to “Fiesta” – through culture play, we will demonstrate why it is important to ReThink church boundaries, ReThink generosity, and therefore ReThink church lay leadership. We will offer insights not just in theory but with Min-Goo’s tried and true examples! Join Ha Na, Min-Goo and Kye Andrews (music leadership) for a day dedicated to culture play, saying no to burnout formulas and welcoming fiesta. And we will do this in a very Korean way.
This event is for active and retired ministry personnel in Shining Waters. This is a free event but pre-registration is required, with lunch is provided.
