Jubilee Outreach presents this season’s lecture –
On May 5, Keith Lock will present “The Relics of Love and War”
The venerated Chinese Canadian filmmaker, Keith Lock, narrates the story of how his mother married his father in Australia while he was training with other Chinese Canadian veteral volunteers for the top-secret suicide mission, Operation Oblivion. This incredible story is set against the backdrop of World War II, a time when Chinese Canadians could not vote, swim in pools, or hire white women for their businesses.
Come hear this unique perspective and glimpse into Canadian history. Join us for coffee/tea and a cookie in the Garden Room at 1pm before the lecture begins at 1:15pm.
