His autobiography, “Beloved: Being Gay and Christian” is about the realities of living authentically as a gay Christian.

Donald Schmidt holds a MDiv and DMin degrees in theology and Jewish studies. He was in active ministry in a variety of churches both Canada, and the USA for about 40 years before retiring. He lives in British Columbia.
