For the first time since pre-Covid times, the Bloor Street United Church Craddock Lecture series returns with: What does it mean to right historic wrongs? A talk with Douglas Sanderson (Amo Binashii). Everyone is invited for this time of learning and discussion! RSVP requested to craddock102024@gmail.com.
Get informed by Douglas Sanderson, co-author of Valley of the Birdtail, and Professor in the Faculty of Law at The University of Toronto. Q and A to follow the talk.
Go beyond learning and acknowledgement, and consider how we can work together to further truth and reconciliation. Following the talk, we will share a pay-what-you-can meal in community.
Afterwards, we have a chance to participate in discussion groups facilitated by youth from across Canada who took part in Gibimishkaadimin.
Everyone is invited and warmly welcomed!
Both the talk and discussion groups will be held in-person and livestreamed on Sunday, October 20th, 2024.
The talk begins at 10:30am, lunch is at 12:00pm, and discussion groups will be from 1:00-2:00pm.
