Two transgender women from the Sudbury area, Rita O’Link and Darlyn Hansen, have been invited to speak about life experiences and challenges they faced as they transitioned to and commenced living as women in their communities. Both did so when they were older adults. They have experience presenting and engaging in Q and A sessions pertaining to non-binary and transgender lived experiences.
This Café Convo (coffee and conversation) event is open to everyone. The purpose of the discussion is to raise people’s awareness, improve their understanding, and remove the stigma of talking about all gender identities. Individuals trying to understand a co-worker, wishing to support a family member or friend, or just interested in understanding life from this perspective are welcome to participate.
