Left in the care of a nurturing\, Shakespeare-quoting grandmother\, eight-year-old Henry receives as a gift his first set of colouring pencils (and a pocket knife for the sharpening). As he commits these colours to memory—cadmium yellow; burnt ochre; deep scarlet red—a passion for art\, colour\, and the stories of the great artists takes hold\, and becomes Henry’s unique way of seeing the world. DESCRIPTION:Please join Islington United Church in person for Holy Week meditation on April 3 at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Led by James Aitchison\, we will sit together in a circle and allow ourselves to slow down a bit as we open to the movement of the Spirit. Guided by occasional pointers and words of scripture\, there will be lots of open space for God’s silent inner guidance. \nThis safe and welcoming environment offers the perfect opportunity during Holy Week to try out something new or deepen an existing practice. \nEnter through the doors at the back of the church\, accessible from the driveway closest to Dundas Street.
