SUMMARY:Crucified Woman: The Play
DESCRIPTION:Crucified Woman stands at Emmanuel College as a reminder of the experiences facing women throughout the world who are subjected to violence\, persecution\, and torture. Her story isn’t simple for getting to this place\, and when Margaret Laurence viewed her at Bloor Street United Church\, the acclaimed author professed that she believed in God. While Crucified Woman was being critiqued in the court of public opinion\, Laurence herself was experiencing threats of her books being banned across Ontario and Canada. Together these two realities to tell the story of Crucified Woman: The Play. \nCollege Street United Church\n454 College Street\nJuly 1st – 8 pm\,\nJuly 2nd – 8 pm\,\nJuly 3rd – 8 pm\,\nJuly 4th – 8 pm\,\nJuly 5th – 8 pm\,\nJuly 7th – 8 pm\,\nJuly 8th – 8 pm\,\nJuly 9th – 8 pm\,\nJuly 10th – 8 pm\,\nJuly 11th – 8 pm\nTickets Available via Toronto Fringe Festival Website
