DESCRIPTION:Join former Moderator Carmen Lansdowne for a virtual 3 month study of The Leader’s Journey: Accepting the Call to Personal and Congregational Transformation\, by Herrington\, Taylor and Creech. The book is of interest to anyone in ministry leadership – whether paid or volunteer\, ordered or lay. Sessions run weekly\, from early February to early May with 3 weeks off for holidays. We will read one chapter per week and spend time in small groups and larger group discussion. Recordings will be available after each session for registered participants.

DESCRIPTION:1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture is a feature documentary that follows the story of tireless researchers who trace the origins of the anti-gay movement among Christians to a grave mistranslation of the Bible in 1946. \nIt chronicles the discovery of never-before-seen archives at Yale University which unveil astonishing new revelations\, and casts significant doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice. \nFeaturing commentary from prominent scholars as well as opposing pastors\, including the personal stories of the film’s creators\, 1946 is at once challenging\, enlightening\, and inspiring. \nFollowing the film screening\, you are invited to stay for a short Q+A with the documentary’s researchers\, Kathy Baldock and Ed Oxford.
