DESCRIPTION:Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish\, a Palestinian Canadian medical doctor is speaking on Sunday April 21st at 10:30 am at Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church at 427 Bloor Street West in Toronto. Dr. Abuelaish was born in a refugee camp in Gaza and was the first Palestinian doctor to work in an Israeli hospital. In 2009\, he lost three daughters to an Israeli bomb in Gaza and has lost more than thirty family members since October 7th. As a devout Muslim\, his talk is called\, “Faith\, Action and Hope: I Shall not Hate.” Dr. Abuelaish believes that Palestinians and Israelis are like “conjoined twins.” He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize four times and is often referred to as the Martin Luther King\, Jr.\, the Matatma Gandhi and the Nelson Mandela of the Middle East.
