Her story isn’t simple for getting to this place\, and when Margaret Laurence viewed her at Bloor Street United Church\, the acclaimed author professed that she believed in God. While Crucified Woman was being critiqued in the court of public opinion\, Laurence herself was experiencing threats of her books being banned across Ontario and Canada.
