SUMMARY:Faith in a Time of Genocide
DESCRIPTION:“Faith in a Time of Genocide” November 1-2\, 2024 is the United Network for Justice and Peace in Palestine and Israel (UNJPPI) national gathering in Toronto at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Pearson Airport. The program each day is from 8 am – 5 pm. There is a hotel room discount available until October 4th. Scholarships are available for students. He is a Jewish Israeli historian who has investigated the Israeli lobby and its 100 year campaign to silence voices for Palestinian human rights. \nWe’ll talk with General Council staff about United Church policy including the arms embargo campaign. \nWe will learn about Zionism\, Antisemitism and Islamaphobia. \nWe will learn about what it means to become an Apartheid-free church. \nAnd we will come away with a better understanding of international law and the impact on Canada of the International Court of Justice recent opinion. \nWe’ll meet amazing people from across Canada who are committed to acting for Palestinian human rights. \nDetails: \nCost $350 registration. plus you pay for your hotel room – $169 plus taxes per night.
