DESCRIPTION:April 7 at 7:30pm\, the Metropolitan Festival Choir and Baroque Orchestra (Jonathan Oldengarm\, direction and continuo) present the rarely-heard Brockes Passion downtown at Metropolitan United. The concert is preceded by a pre-concert chat with Dr. Jonathan Oldengarm at 6:30pm\, followed by an organ prelude at 7:10pm. \nSoloists include Michael Colvin\, Evangelist; Geoffrey Sirett\, Jesus; Jacqueline Woodley\, Tochter Zion; and several of Met’s own lead singers\, including Gisele Kulak\, Veronika Anissimova\, Valeria Kondrashov (Judas)\, Michelle Simmons\, Charles Davidson and Nicholas Higgs. \nA vivid\, passionate account of the most dramatic week in the Christian liturgical year\, this is an evening of classical music not to be missed. \nJoin us in person or online (live or demand)!
