Rene is an award-winning change maker who has worked to challenge income security systems that keep people trapped in poverty. She is also an advocate for building more affordable housing. Born in South Africa during apartheid, Rene brings a wealth of knowledge to the experience of racism and moving from resistance to building hope and unity.
