CELEBRATION OF CHURCH UNION
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:6-10 and 14-17
Rev. Bright Yun’s Message: Walk by Faith, not by Sight!
In 1925, in a hockey arena in Toronto where the inaugural service for the church union was held, they read Jesus’ prayer for his disciples “that all may be one.” This phrase appears in Latin in our Crest, “ut omnes unum sint” along with the “The United Church of Canada.” Our biggest strength is still our diversity, and our desire to be one. Let’s celebrate the ties we have with the past, the ministry we have in the present, and the mission we have for the future.
