Becoming Nakuset – The Story of a Sixties Scoop Survivor
“Becoming Nakuset” is an award winning film about one woman’s story of being taken from her family in the Sixties Scoop, and how Indigenous children in care were impacted. Kingsway-Lambton United Church is hosting this documentary short in partnership with Indigenous Ministries and Justice, United in Learning, and supported by Shining Waters Regional Council. A listening circle will follow. This is a first-person story of truth about the Sixties Scoop that needs to be heard.
